John MacLean

John MacLean is an artist-photographer whose work metabolises the contradictions he finds in life. His projects include 'Hometowns', photographing the childhood towns of the artists who influenced him; 'System', photographing 20th-century English buildings repurposed into McDonald's restaurants; and 'Conversations', overlaying emoji onto flash-flattened interiors of London.
